Green tea has been used for many years to help prevent various types of cancer but also in helping to treat or relieve rheumatoid arthritis, high cholesterol, and heart disease. Due to its antioxidant properties it is also used to help treat various infections and improve the immune system. Other uses that are associated with Green tea are: improving mental alertness, aiding in weight loss and protecting skin from sun damage.
